At Vernell Gregg Early Childhood Center, we believe something extraordinary begins the moment a child walks through our doors.

Every child arrives with curiosity, possibility, and a light uniquely their own. Our job is to see it, nurture it, and help it shine.

Vernell Gregg ECC is a joyful, welcoming community created especially for our youngest learners and the families who love them. Here, children are known by name, celebrated for who they are, and surrounded by caring adults who understand that the earliest years of school can shape a lifetime of learning.

Our classrooms are places to wonder, explore, create, play, talk, move, make friends, solve problems, and discover just how capable our children can be. Through purposeful learning experiences, high expectations, strong relationships, and developmentally appropriate instruction, our teachers and staff work together to build the academic, social, emotional, and physical foundations every child needs for the journey ahead.

But Gregg ECC is about more than preparing children for kindergarten.

We are building confidence.
We are nurturing independence.
We are teaching children how to belong to a community, care for one another, and find joy in learning.
And we are helping each child begin to see the possibilities within themselves.

Our school proudly bears the name of Mrs. Vernell Gregg, whose life and service left an enduring impact on generations of Lewisville ISD students and families. Her legacy reminds us that education is ultimately about people: seeing potential, opening doors, strengthening communities, and believing deeply in what children can become. We are honored to carry that spirit forward.

Families are essential partners in this work. We want Gregg ECC to feel like your school, a place where you are welcomed, valued, heard, and connected. When families, educators, and our community work together, our children receive something powerful: a circle of people all believing in them at once.

As the founding principal of Vernell Gregg Early Childhood Center, I am incredibly proud of the community we are building together. I look forward to knowing our children, partnering with our families, celebrating their milestones, and watching thousands of little moments of discovery illuminate our school.
